Accommodation
Originally a traditional fisherman's cottage, Friends Cottage is a fully furnished 4 bedroom self catering cottage, recently renovated to a high standard with new furniture, fixtures and fittings throughout.
The downstairs comprises: kitchen, dining room, lounge, sun room, bedroom, bathroom. Upstairs comprises one double bedroom, one twin bedroom and one single bedroom. It has beds for 7 plus cot.
We have tried to make Friends Cottage child friendly, providing a travel cot, stairgate (at bottom of stairs only), toys, booster chair and a portable bed side guard. As owners of a very large Irish Wolfhound we have also tried to make it dog friendly, providing dog bowls, an enclosed garden and (mainly) hardwood floors.
Downstairs
Kitchen: the kitchen and utility area have all the appliances you would expect to find at home, including wachine machine, tumble drier, dishwasher, electric hob, double oven, microwave and large fridge. The kitchen has been well stocked and whether you only want to have fish and chips from the Bunty or are into home cooking, we have covered everything.

Lounge: a really cosy room with an open fire that is very easy to light for those evenings when you just want to snuggle up to watch the digital LCD flat screen TV, watch a DVD, suft the Internet via our Wi-Fi connection, or just relax and listen to the stereo.
Sun Lounge: what can we say - this is the place to chill out! A warm sunny room with oustanding and uninterrupted views of Findorn Bay which is just a matter of a few metres from the house. Just lie on the sofa-with-chaise or sit at the window and use the binoculars to explore the bay.
Bedroom: a cosy room with two single beds and a built in cupboard.
Bathroom: tiled throughout, this is a light airy bathroom which has been newly fitted with corner shower and large double-ended bath.
Upstairs
Twin Bedroom: light and airy room fitted with twin beds, a chest of drawers.
Double Bedroom: fitted with a king sized bed, wardrobe and chest of drawers. TV point for the portable digital flat screen TV. Lovely view of the bay.
Single Bedroom: the 'snug' - more than just a bedroom! With a stunning view over the bay and the firth you may want to relax and enjoy the view, so we fitted the snug with a day bed.
Outside
Friends Cottage has a garage which you are free to use. There is also a small drive. The garden is enclosed and includes a patio with chairs and table overlooking the bay - just the place to sit on warm sunny evening and to enjoy the sunset.
